Jeff Lebo still hasn’t talked, but the VCU drama (was it media-created?) is officially over.

Rams AD Norwood Teague found his man today in Florida assistant Shaka Smart, according to ESPN.com. As we reported last night, Lebo did not interview for the job, even though he was trotted out Saturday as a possible candidate.

We haven’t heard of any other schools lobbying interest toward Auburn’s coach, who just wrapped up his fifth year with the Tigers. Lebo, in his 11 years of coaching, has not made the NCAA Tournament, but put forth arguably his best season this year, leading the Tigers to the NIT quarterfinals.
