Think he’ll guarantee a victory against Furman this week?

****“We’re excited about Homecoming. Game No. 10 coming up, obviously. It ought to be a great weekend.“

****Zac Etheridge: “Zac is obviously for the season, he’s out. But he’s out of the hospital and expected to make a full recovery, which is a great thing. He’s in really good spirits right now. Teammates have had a chance to see him. He’s a great young man and he’ll rebound well from this. We’re just glad he’s making strides.“

****Will he play football? “Take everything day by day, one day at a time. It’ll all work out the way it’s supposed to be.“

****“He’s walking, full use of his legs. That’s a great sign.“

****What’s happening this week: “We’ve got a lot of things we’ve got to get corrected. We’ve got some special teams issues we’ve got to work on. We’ve got some things on offense we should be much better at. Defensively, the same. There’s just some little things we’ve got to be better at. It’s one of those games where we really need to see some improvement.“

****Safety: “Demond Washington will work at safety. We feel like that’s a good move for us with Demond working at safety. We still have Mike Slade and T’Sharvan Bell, but our goal is to put the four best out there. Working at strong safety.“

****Nickel corner? “We’ll still try to keep that in tact over there. We don’t want to disrupt that over there. We’ve got to be start not giving him too much stuff.“

****D’Antoine Hood: “Health-wise, he feels much better. He has to step up to the plate.“

****Walt McFadden: “He’s been great for us. He’s always there mentally, always there coaching other guys. He just does a great job for our defense.“

****Not sure if Etheridge will be in attendance for Saturday’s game.

****Travante Stallworth: “He’s one of those guys that’s really come on. He does get the big picture. He understands his role offensively better. I think he’s fitting into places better.“

****Terrell Zachery: “He is a guy that’s really come on. There’s the routine catches…he’s gone up and made some tough catches.“

****Schedule: “We’ll go back and re-evaluate it. Everyone would love to have a bye in the middle of the season. The thing that is challenging for us is the depth of the roster. We’ve got to be smart with how much we practice. Everybody doesn’t have that break in the fifth game.“

****Having Washington go against Furman: “It’s going to be a learning experience for him. It’s challenging if your first time is against Georgia or someone of that nature. This is probably the perfect time for us.“

****Difference in attitude with postseason play clinched: “The attitude has been the same all year. We expect them to do the same all year.“

****Handling being heavy favorites: “It doesn’t matter who it is, doesn’t matter who we’re playing. We just have to prepare the way we always have.“
