Seat 1 ... the best of them all

That’s right. We’re not in Fayetteville, Ark., for today’s game.

Nope.

The Lazy Blog is in the comfort of the Lazy Casa (location: unknown. ... OK, it’s Opelika).

And we’re watching today’s game on the World Wide Leader on our very own La-Z-Boy.

It promises to be great.

And so does the game. Did you know the over/under is 64 points? 64!?!?! That’s right. For and SEC West game. I never thought I’d see the day.

Anyway, we’re going to be blogging after each quarter of play, musing on what we think of the game and maybe some other humorous and sarcastic comments. Since we’ve never done that before, it should be fun as well. Right? Wait. Don’t answer that.

Since we wanted to make the game-watching experience as real as possible, we turned the Lazy Living Room into a press box, complete with spotty Internet and people who just won’t stop talking (see: Busy Baby and Little Tornado. But since they’re 5 and 2, we’ll cut them some slack. But not too much.)

It’s also a working press box, so there will be no cheering. All violators will be removed, in accordance with the SEC and Football Writers Association of America rules and regulations.

We even bought Snickers ice cream bars for halftime while we were at Walmart this morning. You know, no gameday is complete without Snickers ice cream bars. Or a trip to Walmart.

It’s about kickoff time, so we’ll be back after the first quarter.
