AU BASEBALL: Gray clinches Fall World Series

The Gray team clinched the annual Fall World Series with a 7-2 win over the White team on Friday night at Plainsman Park, riding the solo home runs of Brian Fletcher and Ryan Jenkins and the pitching of Grant Dayton and Justin Bryan to the win.
Dayton threw four innings in the start for the Gray Team, allowing an earned run, while Bryant went two full without allowing a run while striking out three.
Opelika native Zach Blatt pitched a perfect seventh for a second consecutive night.
The White Team will try to salvage a game in the series on Sunday at noon when it sends Cory Luckie to the mound while Slade Smith will try to complete the three-game sweep on the mound for the Gray team.
