AREA ROUNDUP: Opelika girls fall in tournament

OGLETHORPE, Ga. — Opelika’s girls basketball team fell to Baldwin (Ga.), 43-25, Friday at the Macon County Tournament in Oglethorpe, Ga.

Jasmine Cannon led Opelika (6-7) with 8 points while Brea Bridges finished with 6.

The Bulldogs play today at 10 a.m. against Dooly County (Ga.).

Loachapoka boys beat Dadeville
DADEVILLE — Loachapoka moved the title game of the Dadeville Christmas Tournament with a 69-41 win over Dadeville.

Quez Willis led the Indians (6-4) with 18 points, Vantrell Jackson had 14 and Quin Richardson had 13.

Justin Clark paced Dadeville with 21 points.

Loachapoka plays in today’s title game against LaFayette at 6:45 p.m.
