AREA ROUNDUP: Wacoochee sweeps South Girard
PHENIX CITY — The Wacoochee Middle School football teams closed out the season in style with wins over South Girard on Thursday night.
The Wacoochee seventh-graders (5-2-1) took a 14-6 win in the first game.
Coleman Rose scored on two short touchdown runs to provide the Panthers’ points.
The Panther eighth-graders (6-2) took a 16-6 win over South Girard.
Jerrell Gilmore tossed a 16-yard touchdown pass to Johnny Woods and scored on a 5-yard touchdown run.
Anfernee Moffett and Woods had 2-point conversion runs.
