Lee County’s only full-time sports station changed formats last week.

Qantum Communications’ WTLM 1520 AM switched from its Fox Sports programming, which included The Jim Rome Show, to a easy-listening lineup — Timeless Favorites.

However, “On the Mark” with D. Mark Mitchell and Jeff Sasser will remain on the station in the 7-9 a.m. time slot, Monday-Friday.

Friday, the station issued a soft launch of its 1950s, 60s and 70s music format.

“We we’re sad to see Fox Sports go, but look forward to moving into this new format which will appeal to a broader listen-at-work and home audience,” said Tige Rodgers, director of operations. “We will also have top of hour ABC News every hour, local news and weather with veteran news director Woody Ross during the (morning) hours as well.”
