Fraternity football game raises $30K

Phi Gamma Delta’s Josh Hunter is brought down by Lambda Chi Alpha’s David Scott at the second annual Sydney Gran Classic charity football game on Friday night at Lee-Scott’s Jed Scott Field.

Phi Gamma Delta and Lambda Chi Alpha held their second annual charity football game Friday night to benefit the Sydney Gran Family Fund.

Lambda Chi won the game, 9-7, on a 43-yard field goal by Jordan Utley at Jed Scott Field at Lee-Scott Academy.

The event raised an estimated $30,000 for the charity.

Luke Jensen scored the touchdown for Phi Gamma Delta.

“We had an incredible crowd,“ Phi Gamma Delta Philanthropy Chair Ethan Knight said. “I’m just kind of in shock.“
