PGA TOUR: Medley wins at Q-School tourney

Former Auburn golfer Andrew Medley brought home the championship in the first stage of the PGA Tour Qualifying School at the Auburn University Club on Saturday.

Medley finished the four-day tournament at 13-under par, one stroke better than fellow former Tiger Patton Kizzire.

The top-21 finishers plus ties advance to the second stage of qualifying for the PGA Tour.

Clay Ogden of Farmington, Utah, who led the tournament after two rounds, finished third at 10-under.

Five of the six former Tigers advanced to the second stage of qualifying.

Jon Rusk and Scott Weatherly tied for fourth at 9-under and Will Claxton tied for 13th at 3-under.

Lee Williams missed the cut-off by one stroke, finishing tied for 26th at 1-over.
