MUSCLE SHOALS — Auburn Orange kept its season alive with a 4-1 win over Hartselle in the consolation bracket of the Dixie Youth AAA (9-10) All-Star state tournament Wendesday.

T.J. Scott got things going early for Auburn with a two-run double. That was more than enough for pitcher Will Green, who threw a complete-game two-hitter, giving up one unearned run.

Rowdey Jordan, Trey Woodham, Ted Wages and Green also added hits for Auburn.

Orange fell into the consolation bracket with a 7-5 loss to AUM late Tuesday night.

Kason Howell was 2-for-3 with a double and a run in the loss, and Andrew Naismith was 1-for-2.

Auburn will play either Enterprise or AUM at 1 p.m. today.

If AUM wins tonight, Auburn will have to beat them twice for the state championship.

If Enterprise wins, it and AUM will draw for a bye to the finals, with the other team playing Auburn.
