THOMASVILLE — The Auburn Pre-Majors (15-16) All-Stars got their second win in a row in the South Sub-State tournament with a 6-1 win over Selma on Saturday afternoon.

Pate Howard got the win on the mound, going 3 1/3 innings without allowing a run.

Sam Stark started off a five-run fifth inning with a single.

Jackson Norman, Neely Boston, Russell Melton and Jordan Hembrick-Holloman all had two hits in the win for Auburn.

Auburn has a doubleheader today, facing Thomasville at 11 a.m. and Grove Hill at 5 p.m.

Auburn Majors get past Thomasville
THOMASVILLE — The Auburn Majors (17-19) All-Stars took an 18-12 win over Thomasville on Friday night in the South Sub-State tournament.

Caleb Cofield got the win on the mound, striking out five.

Taylor Register had three hits and four RBI, Mike Love had a single, a home run and three RBI, Reid Carter had a single, a double, a home run and three RBI, Tyler Cofield had two singles, a double and two RBI and Chance Lawrence had three RBI.

Jace Harper had a single and two RBI and Ryne Phillips had a single a double and one RBI for Auburn.
