DIXIE ROUNDUP: Auburn takes dramatic win Friday

MONTGOMERY — The Auburn Dixie Boys (13) All-Stars took a 10-9 win over Southeastern Montgomery on Friday night at Crump Park.

Ryan Leonard got the win on the mound for Auburn, with a save by JohnAlan Grubbs, who also had three hits.

Bo Arnold had three hits for Auburn as well, Graham Briggs, Demikyle Holmes and Cooper Flanagan had two hits apiece and Justin Carter, Michael Lee and Jack Hudon had one hit each in Auburn’s win.

Results from Auburn’s game Saturday were unavailable at press time.

Auburn 14s get past East Montgomery
MONTGOMERY — Auburn took a 6-5 win over East Montgomery in nine innings in the Dixie Boys (14) District Tournament.

Carson Meadows pitched six innings, while Dake Rivers got the win in relief.

Marshall Hartzog had two hits, including the game-winner, and Rivers also had two hits.

Auburn was scheduled to play Opelika on Saturday night, but that game was incomplete at press time.
