Another big tennis tournament is coming to Auburn.

The City of Auburn/Auburn University Yarbrough Tennis Center will host the Alabama State Junior Team Tennis Tournament today and Sunday.

More than 300 junior players from around the state will be competing to qualify for Sectionals, which will be held in Mobile next month.

Teams have been grouped in three age categories — 12 and under, 14 and under and 15-18 years — and three ability levels — beginner, intermediate and advanced. Singles, doubles and mixed doubles matches will be part of the team matches.

Matches begin at 8 a.m. today and Sunday, and continue throughout the day.

The tournament is sanctioned by the United States Tennis Association and is free to the public.
