Bonner, AU get past Gamecocks
Bonner, Auburn’s leading scorer this season, had one of her worst shooting nights of the year against the Gamecocks. But a strong finish by Bonner — and plenty of help from her teammates — handed the Tigers an 83-72 win, their fifth in six games.

Hot-shooting Tigers knock off Ole Miss
Quan Prowell scored 25 points as Auburn whipped Ole Miss, 90-78, on Saturday, sweeping the season series between the clubs and snapping a five-game losing streak. Two of the Tigers’ three SEC wins have come against the Rebels, a team once ranked as high as 17th.
Depth an added plus for Tigers in Slater’s fourth year
In his fourth season, Slater has his deepest roster since at least 2005, his first year as Auburn’s head coach. That team reached the NCAA Tournament despite finishing ninth in the SEC.
Fortner, Tigers working for Big Dance

Auburn High’s boys had succeeded in containing Enterprise sharpshooter Rhett Harrelson for much of Friday’s game.
Harrelson finally caught fire in the fourth quarter — but never fear, this night belonged to Richard Ross and the Tigers.

Robertson, AU hit the road to face Ole Miss
There is one player whose energy level Lebo doesn’t worry about. Junior guard Quantez Robertson leads the SEC in minutes played: He’s averaging 37 minutes per game and has played all 40 minutes in six games this year. He has led Auburn in each of his three seasons on the Plains.
Lanett rolls to Region tourney
The Lanett boys basketball team advanced to the first round of the Class 2A Central Regional tournament by beating Shades Mountain Christian, 77-61, Friday night. The Panthers will play R.C. Hatch at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Alabama State University in Montgomery.
