MONTGOMERY — The Auburn Dixie Majors (17-19) All-Stars defeated Brantley, 12-2, in six innings, to advance in the sub-state tournament at Patterson Field.
Will Ruffin pitched a complete game for Auburn, striking out five.
Taylor Register led the way for Auburn with two singles and three RBI. Drake Sasser had a single and three RBI, while Whitt Dorsey added a triple and two RBI. Jace Harper had a single and two RBI.
Creede Simpson had a single and an RBI, while Drew Hull finished with a double and J.B. Edgar recorded a single.
Auburn plays Selma at 1 p.m. today.
