The champions of the Dixie AAA (9-10) and Dixie Majors (11-12) All-Star District 10 tournaments won’t be decided until today.
Heavy rains in the area Friday postponed both tournaments.
In Smiths Station, Auburn Orange was scheduled to play Valley for the District crown, before storms led to an early postponement.
The two teams will meet today at 5 p.m. to determine a tournament champ.
The rainout marked the second consecutive postponement of the AAA tournament, originally scheduled for Thursday night.
The Dixie Majors championship between Auburn Blue and Auburn Orange was also a washout.
Heavy rains soaked West Ridge Park an hour before Friday’s championship.
Field crews attempted to get the field in playing shape, but a decision was made to postpone the game.
The two teams will play today, with the championship tilt slated for 6 p.m.
Both teams have earned berths to the Majors State Tournament, but today’s game will be for the District title and Auburn bragging rights.
On Wednesday, Auburn Orange hammered Auburn Blue, 17-9, giving Blue its first loss of the Dixie All-Stars season.
Orange won the bye to the championship game and Blue set up the rematch by trouncing Opelika National, 20-4, on Thursday.
