SELMA — The Lee-Scott Academy Warriors are on a roll.

The Warriors won their second consecutive game over a ranked team and third in a row overall, beating No. 8 Morgan Academy, 17-7, on Friday night.

Sam Cowles scored Lee-Scott’s first touchdown, going 15 yards for the score in the first quarter.

Wil Garner added a 7-yard run later on in the first quarter to give Lee-Scott a 14-0 lead.

After Morgan scored in the third quarter, LSA kicker Shane Corbett made a 35-yard field goal for the game’s final margin.

Lee-Scott is 3-1 overall, and 2-0 in the Region. The Warriors will host Hooper Academy next Friday.

Notasulga 18, Fayetteville 14
FAYETTEVILLE — Notasulga got its first win of the season, snapping a 15-game losing streak as the Blue Devils took out Fayetteville.

“It’s been a big party,” Notasulga head coach Roland Bell said. “It’s been absolutely wonderful, and I told them maybe now I can sleep tonight.”

Derek Hart rushed for 74 yards and two touchdowns for the Blue Devils, while also returning a kickoff 79 yards to the Fayetteville 1-yard line. That play set up a 1-yard quarterback sneak for a touchdown by Steven Ricks.

Mathias Wallace led Notasulga’s defense with 22 tackles.

The Blue Devils (1-3, 1-2 Class 1A-Region 4) will host LaFayette next Friday.

Loachapoka 48, Verbena 0
LOACHAPOKA — Loachapoka’s defense has the nickname “The Dog Pound.” And for good reason. The Indians are only giving up 3.5 points per game this season, and none in Class 1A-Region 4 play, posting three consecutive shutouts.

Loachapoka’s offense, however, is averaging 37 points a contest to go with its perfect 4-0, 3-0 record.

Friday, Vontrez Hutchinson had eight carries for 124 yards and three touchdowns. He also had an interception return for a score.

Patrey Hardnett had eight carries for 53 yards and a score.

Ladextric Jones took a 62-yard reverse on the first play from scrimmage for a touchdown in the Indians’ win.

Tommy White had a sack for Loachapoka, while Ricky Hunter blocked a punt and White recovered it and ran for a touchdown.

Marbury 42, Beulah 22
BEULAH — Beulah’s defense struggled to contain Marbury’s Charles Averhart, as the visiting Bulldogs came away with a 42-22 victory over the Bobcats.

Averhart rushed 27 times for 212 yards and two touchdowns to lead Marbury.

The game was tied at 15 following a Calvin Thomas 8-yard touchdown run for Beulah, but Marbury pulled away with a score right before halftime.

Kyle Hoover rushed for 60 yards and a touchdown for Beulah, while Andrew Anthony had two catches for 72 yards and a touchdown.

Beulah (0-4, 0-3 Class 3A-Region 3) hosts non-region foe Ranburne next Friday.

Reeltown 41, Goshen 6
GOSHEN — Willie McKenzie scored four touchdowns to lead Reeltown past Goshen in a Class 2A-Region 3 matchup.

McKenzie scored two rushing touchdowns, had a 93-yard kickoff return and also caught a 42-yard touchdown pass in the Rebels’ win.

Anarius White had two carries for 83 yards for Reeltown (3-1, 3-0).

Handley 65, Coosa-Central 28
ROANOKE — Darius Finley threw for 87 yards and rushed five times for 49 yards. He also scored three touchdowns for Handley on Friday night.

Shaquille Trammell had 10 carries for 65 yards and two touchdowns.

Jay Bray caught two passes for 47 yards and two scores. He also had an interception in the win.

Correction
In Friday’s Opelika-Auburn News, the football game between Drake Middle School and Opelika was incorrect.

Drake beat Opelika, 34-0, on Thursday night in seventh-grade play. Drake will play Russell County next week.
