Another recruiting weekend, another commitment for Auburn.
According to all three Web sites that cover Auburn University recruiting — AuburnSports.com, Inside The Auburn Tigers and AuburnUndercover.com — Banneker High (College Park, Ga.) defensive back Demetruce McNeal committed to the Tigers on Saturday.
The 6-foot-1, 180-pounder gives Auburn 10 verbal commitments for the class of 2010. McNeal, a three-star recruit according to Rivals.com, joins his high school teammate Shaun Kitchens, a wide receiver who was already committed to Auburn, in next year’s class.
McNeal was on Auburn’s campus this weekend for an unofficial visit, according to AuburnSports.com
“I love the campus, the facilities and especially the coaches,” McNeal told AuburnSports.com on Saturday. “I think they are going to do big things at Auburn.”
As a junior, McNeal, who, according to AuburnSports.com runs a 4.65 40-yard dash, recored 74 tackles. Also, according to the Web site, he chose the Tigers over offers from South Carolina and West Virginia, among others.
