About the Ashfords: The brothers were both immovable objects and unstoppable forces for the Rebels since transferring from LaFayette before the season. Chris rushed for 1602 yards and 17 touchdowns in his final high school season — including 620 yards and six scores over the final two weeks — and Brandon rushed for 1118 yards and 11 scores despite battling a high ankle sprain nearly all season.
What they did: Just about everything to will Chambers into the playoffs in a 56-55 overtime loss to Ashford last Friday. Chris rushed for 336 yards and three scores, while Brandon chipped in 246 yards and five touchdowns in the loss. That’s 582 yards and eight touchdowns combined.
