Auburn High’s varsity boys and girls came away with wins over LaFayette on Tuesday night.
The boys took a 56-48 win.
Michael Willis led the Tigers (17-10) with 14 points, Jason Webb had 9 and Tony Holland and Calvin Jenkins had 8 apiece.
Raquazious Boyd and Antoine Heard had 13 points apiece for the Bulldogs.
The Tiger girls (13-9) took a 36-33 win over the Bulldogs.
Kierra Scott had 14 points and Abby Jones had 9 to lead the Tigers.
Tyronica Shavers led the Bulldogs with 11 points, and Jetta Rutledge had 10.
In the “B” team game, LaFayette took a 53-52 win.
DeSharrio Abner had 18 points to lead LaFayette, and Emmanuel Higgins had 13.
Cody Core had 14 points, Clay Machen had 12, Ryan Langford had 11 and Cory Hall had 10 for AHS (10-7).
All three Tiger teams head to Central on Friday.
Ballard falls at home
Victory Christian came to Ballard and took a 68-47 win Tuesday night.
Jonathan Stith had 12 points to lead the Eagles (9-7). Judson Butler had 11 points and seven rebounds, and Colton Sturkie had 6.
The Ballard JV team won, 46-36, over Victory.
Joseph Sullen had 14 points and 11 rebounds, David Good had 11 points and 10 rebounds and Jackson Reeves had 18 points.
Both teams will travel to face Faith Christian on Friday.
Glenwood gets past Macon-East
PHENIX CITY — Glenwood’s girls basketball team (12-8) took a 49-32 win over Macon-East on Tuesday night.
Mandy Marriott had 15 points to lead the Gators, and Bree Nowlin had 13.
On Monday night, the Gators fell, 56-45, at Fort Dale in Greenville.
Ashley Chambliss led Glenwood with 15 points, and Nowlin had 10.
Notasulga extends winning streak
TUSKEGEE — Notasulga’s girls took a 70-62 win over Bullock County to extend their winning streak to 11 on Tuesday night.
Natasha Williams had 29 points, eight assists and seven steals for the Blue Devils (12-8). Rachel Foster hit five 3-pointers on her way to 23 points, and Kimesha Jackson had 12 points and nine rebounds.
The Blue Devils will host Beauregard in Tuskegee on Thursday.
Rams rip Ben Russell
ALEXANDER CITY — Three Valley players scored in double figures as the Rams took an 80-52 road win over the Wildcats on Tuesday.
Teon Jones led Valley (15-3) with 19 points, five rebounds and four assists, Erique Florence had 15 points, nine rebounds and five assists, and Darien Briscoe had 15 points, five rebounds and five assists.
Adrian Thomas added 8 points and seven rebounds, and Josh McBride scored 6.
