Top Georgia player Arrington signs with Tigers
The Auburn volleyball team added another top-flight prospect to the 2012 signing class as Mary Hannah Arrington will join the Tigers next year, head coach Rick Nold announced Friday.
Arrington, an outside hitter and defensive specialist from Marietta, Ga., was named the Gatorade Georgia Player of the Year in 2011 after leading Pope High School to its third consecutive state championship. She was a three-time first-team all-state selection (including being named the 4A state player of the year in 2010) and helped her team to an overall record of 196-9 over her four years.
Arrington has longstanding ties to Auburn athletics. Her father, Pat Arrington, played football for the Tigers from 1979-83 and was an All-SEC selection at offensive tackle in his senior season of 1983.
